A Few Office Gifts

Hi everyone! Tis' The Season... So I have created a few little gifts to give out at work to my drivers since they are normally grumpy I hope this cheers them up :)

So Onto My project!!!

 I wanted to make little gifts for them to make them at least smile. So I took Orange Tic Tacs and made a cover for them out of Christmas Themed paper and cut holes in them so they could see inside..
I stamped them with let it snow because of what I wrote inside each one also. It says "When it snows you will have Frosty's nose!" I used some crinkle ribbon on some and some twine on others as the ties. I love the ways these came out they are so fun to make.. now I cant wait to make some for Valentines day and maybe even more for Christmas!!  The stamps I used are from K Andrew Designs "Winter Wishes" set


I want to take a moment and say that I am thinking of each and every one of the families affected by what happened in Newtown. May peace find a way back to each of your hearts! <3 RIP Sweet Angels

    When I think of Christmas I think of all of the fun things that come with decorating and making a fun welcoming decoration for my house ... And this fall I made a pumpkin wreath and I thought.. Why not try something for Christmas! So as I was filling the candy dish on the counter where I work with those little round peppermint candies.. An Idea was born.. Why not try to make one that I can hang on my door! 

    So here is what I came up with for my back door (yes I have a wreath on every door lol)

So I made a project today that I will be giving as a Christmas Gift my coworker that I work with in my office. She is a big coffee drinker and loves Hot Cocoa so I figured that a personalized mug with some Hot Cocoa and Mini Marshmallows in it would be PERFECT :)

I have been hearing TONS of Christmas music everywhere and I love the song Let it Snow! So with that being said I have not done a paper craft this time I have done a decoration in preparation for my Christmas Decorating :)  And Yes this project I was also inspired by Pinterest (I cant stay away from it!) So when I think of snow... I Know I think of snowmen!!! :)

Here is what I came up with

 These are wine glasses from the Dollar Tree. Painted with White Glass paint then the red and green paints are just plain acrylic paints mixed with a little glass paint to give it a little depth. Then I hand painted the faces ( I know they aren't the greatest but these are my first two and it was a little difficult being that the surfaces arent flat) Then they just hold a small pillar candle and there we have it!  Cheap and fun and cute!

Happy 1st Birthday Simply Create Too!!!

Hey all! Happy Black Friday! I just got back from Shopping and boy am I tired. But I am so excited because I only have 2 things left to get and I am done christmas shopping!!! WAHOO! Anyways I also got to stop in at AC Moore and I was one of the first 100 people so I got a $5 gift voucher to use towards my purchase so I was able to stock up on some much needed fun stuff! YAY!

Anyways Over at Simply Create Too  there is a Birthday party going on!! If you haven't ever joined us you should really stop by! Coasting in to vote!

Happy voting day to you!!! Hope its not to cold or hot wherever you are :) The weather here is very brisk and chilly but i'm just happy its not raining right now.
Today is my day to post over at Getting Cricky and I wanted to share a very inexpensive yet cool gift idea that I was inspired by the wonderful land of pinterest!


So Here goes :)

So the recipe for this is :

a white ceramic tile from Home Depot that cost me .16 each
Tim Holtz alcohol ink in green and I used a slate color as the opposite
Then I used StazOn Ink for the stamps and I used K Andrew Design stamp set for the butterflies and the sentiment.
The Tree came from Michaels.

I then put a piece of very thin self sticking cork board as a backing to protect furniture and I got that at hobby lobby and used a 40% off coupon for that which made a whole role of it (small roll) for 2.40 which will make a lot so I am guestimating that it is only going to cost about .05 each coaster or maybe even less than that..

Then I sealed them with a clear coat sealer so that it would protect the inks and  there we go a coaster ready to use for under 1$ yay!!

I will be making these for everyone in my family and even my neighbors because I bought a whole case of tile when i was at Home Depot! LOL!!

Orange, Black, Yellow

Happy Friday All!! Over at Simply Create Too we have a challenge going on .. all you need to do is use Black Orange and Yellow :) Stop over and show us what you have created! We love seeing what everyone creates each and every week!

So Onto my project...

I know the colors are more of a Halloween color scheme but I wanted to try add a twist on it :)

So for this card I wanted to make it simple. 

I used a premade card stock in yellow

Then I piece of fall leaf patterned paper that I rec'd in a paper swap 

Then I used a corner chomper and cut the corners of the white card stock

Stamped it with the tree and added the sentiment that is from K Andrew Designs

I also added some Tim Holtz distressing ink to it and some liquid pearl.
