Let It Snow

Hello All!! It time again for the Simply Create Too Challenge and the theme is Let it Snow or use all white!
It was so fun and I created a lot of things for my tree this year .. My theme this year on my tree is snowmen!

Here is what I created :)

I used square glass tree ornaments and glittered them with a diamond glitter. Then I used simple shapes to make my face with vinyl and added some fur to the top for his "hat"

These are soo cute and I made these in no time at all. :)

Stop over and join us at the Simply Create too blog and show us what you create!!

Canine Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the Canine Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!! We have a lot of talented ladies with some great projects to share with you today with the theme of Dogs...

Did you know that 1 in 4 dogs will be diagnosed with cancer?! I didn't realize that canine cancer was so common until my sweet girl was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma.
This is the very same cancer that takes many young children's lives also. Humans and dogs suffer from the same cancers and I believe when there is a cure for human cancer there will be a cure for Canine cancer also. So we must all stick together and not only hope for a cure but bring awareness to these horrible cancers!

So there will be blog candy for this hop! You will have to do a few things to be entered in it but they are super easy :) But the CANDY IS......A $10 gift certificate from Me...and Miriam was super nice to match with another $10 gift certificate so 1 winner will get a total of $20 to spend in Miriam's shop! HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Remember Together We are the CURE!!!!

I made a shadow box using some paw print paper from my stash... The collar Hailey wore when she was just a pup and a milkbone biscuit because she Loves cookies! The sentiment I cut on my cameo and I just LOVE this saying. I also used an adorable charm that I got from Miriam's Crafting Store I absolutely Love these charms!

Just a little background on Hailey: We got her when she was around 6 months old from a friend who had brought her from Alabama and so we don't really know her background.. For the past 7 years she was healthy and full of energy.. One day she was playing because she likes to chase chipmunks around the woods... That night we noticed a small lump on her front leg. We thought she sprained it from digging around in the woods... After a week of me alternating heat and ice it wasn't getting any better... We took her to the vet and we got the news that it was cancer ...They told us the median survival time without amputation was less than 3 months....Because she was completely healthy other than the fact that she has cancer I made the tough decision to have her leg amputated and do chemotherapy. The doctor we have has been the BEST I have ever met.. He let me call him at all hours of the night after the surgery when I was worried and he calmed me down. They said that even with chemo and amputation she may only live 6 months... At her 3 month check up her chest scans were clear and we are now on month 5 and still no signs.. I have learned a lot by this experience..The biggest thing I have learned is that you can't control  the things you hope you can and you need to live in the moment and enjoy what you have. I have also learned that Now I believe my new mission in life is to raise awareness and hope for a cure... I am also determined to become and advocate of giving hope to the families of dogs diagnosed with cancer because it Really does not HAVE to be a death sentence.. It breaks my heart that people feel that there is no hope after diagnosis... Sorry to ramble but its time now see what everyone else has in store for you.
