Firecracker!

Happy Saturday all!  Hope you are all safe and sound if you were part of yesterdays bad wind/rain/thunder storms! We didn't get what they were calling for here which is a good thing because I was worried about my chickens lastnight .. I didn't want them to blow away in the 65+ mile/hr winds we were supposed to get.

For todays Project I wanted to start off by showing you a tag I made for the 4th Of July

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Little Scrap Pieces:  Use a Star (The childs wand and the tail of the firecracker)
Crazy 4 Challenges: C4143 Create a Tag
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards: Challenge 16 Anything Goes
Creatalicious Challenges: Challenge #35 Anything Goes

For this I used Glittered cardstock from the Paper Studio
The tag cuts were made from Elegant Edges on the Cricut and
The little boy was cut from A Childs Year on the Cricut
I used glitter glue to make the firecracker sparkle.
I colored the stars on the childs wand and the tail of the firecracker silver with a metallic paint pen, then added a pearl to the center of each one.
I used Twine in red and blue for the tag strings
Then For the sentiment I used K Andrew Design Stamps Sweet July

The patterned piece is from the DCWV Carnival Stack
The pink is from my scraps ...I edged with with a Martha Stewart punch set..
I cut a caramel apple out on my cricut (I do believe it was sweet treats)
Then i punched a circle and stamped it with K Andrew Designs Set Even More Food For Thought

Hello All!!!

Hello All! I'm back from my "mini vacation" actually I went away to visit my cousin and to babysit her two boys while she worked third shift so she could get a little sleep. I was EXHAUSTED by the end of it though but had a blast with them... :) We took them to the Farmers Market, The park, the petting zoo (i was extremely disgusted by this part) , then for ice cream and shopping so all in all it was a blast... But as far as the petting zoo.. This one made me so sad that I could barely walk through it without wanting to bust them all out of their cages. It breaks my heart to see animals in such horrible conditions.. Animals that should be living their lives grazing and having a great time... were living on pavement and had very little shade... No worries though my friends... I have written a letter to the Humane Society about this place and I am hoping that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for these beautiful animals <3

Ok sorry to ramble on but I do have a project for you today :)

Over at Die Cuttin Divas there is a sketch challenge and I decided to take that and run with it :)

My recipe for this card:
The card base is from : Recollections Spring Collection
The flowers are Recollections flowers the ones that come in those adorable bottles (on clearance at M's for 2.00!!! WOOHOOO!!!!)
The Lollipop paper is from: DCWV The Carnival Stack
The lollipop is cut from Doodle charms @ 4.5 with a cute little Peachy Keen Face using PK-490
The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs new set "Southern Sayings"
I also added a little twine from Doodle twine  in purple around the lollipop stem :)

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
