Canine Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the Canine Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!! We have a lot of talented ladies with some great projects to share with you today with the theme of Dogs...

Did you know that 1 in 4 dogs will be diagnosed with cancer?! I didn't realize that canine cancer was so common until my sweet girl was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma.
This is the very same cancer that takes many young children's lives also. Humans and dogs suffer from the same cancers and I believe when there is a cure for human cancer there will be a cure for Canine cancer also. So we must all stick together and not only hope for a cure but bring awareness to these horrible cancers!

So there will be blog candy for this hop! You will have to do a few things to be entered in it but they are super easy :) But the CANDY IS......A $10 gift certificate from Me...and Miriam was super nice to match with another $10 gift certificate so 1 winner will get a total of $20 to spend in Miriam's shop! HOW COOL IS THAT?!

1. Be a follower of all of the blogs in this hop and also leave some love!
2. Head over to www.miriamscraftingblog.com  and follower her page
3.Go to Miriam's Facebook Page and let her know you are stopping in from the hop
4. Stop over at Pet Care RX and like their page because each like this month will get the National Canine Cancer Foundation 50cents!!!! Every Penny Counts when it comes to finiding a cure!!
Just stop back at : Amanda's Blog and tell her you have completed each one

Remember Together We are the CURE!!!!

I made a shadow box using some paw print paper from my stash... The collar Hailey wore when she was just a pup and a milkbone biscuit because she Loves cookies! The sentiment I cut on my cameo and I just LOVE this saying. I also used an adorable charm that I got from Miriam's Crafting Store I absolutely Love these charms!

Just a little background on Hailey: We got her when she was around 6 months old from a friend who had brought her from Alabama and so we don't really know her background.. For the past 7 years she was healthy and full of energy.. One day she was playing because she likes to chase chipmunks around the woods... That night we noticed a small lump on her front leg. We thought she sprained it from digging around in the woods... After a week of me alternating heat and ice it wasn't getting any better... We took her to the vet and we got the news that it was cancer ...They told us the median survival time without amputation was less than 3 months....Because she was completely healthy other than the fact that she has cancer I made the tough decision to have her leg amputated and do chemotherapy. The doctor we have has been the BEST I have ever met.. He let me call him at all hours of the night after the surgery when I was worried and he calmed me down. They said that even with chemo and amputation she may only live 6 months... At her 3 month check up her chest scans were clear and we are now on month 5 and still no signs.. I have learned a lot by this experience..The biggest thing I have learned is that you can't control  the things you hope you can and you need to live in the moment and enjoy what you have. I have also learned that Now I believe my new mission in life is to raise awareness and hope for a cure... I am also determined to become and advocate of giving hope to the families of dogs diagnosed with cancer because it Really does not HAVE to be a death sentence.. It breaks my heart that people feel that there is no hope after diagnosis... Sorry to ramble but its time now see what everyone else has in store for you.

Hello all! Hope all is well! This past couple of weeks has been crazy with the weather here.. First its so hot you cant breathe then its cold as all get out.... But thanks to Mother nature I have been able to get some crafting done :)

So for today's post I wanted to share with you a card that I made for my sweet little nephew to give my dad on Father's Day. My nephew is so attached to my dad that its not even funny.. As soon as he walks out the door he starts crying and screaming Pappy... So I thought that my dad would enjoy a card from him.

The card base I got from the SIL store.
The Little boy came from KaDoodle Bug Designs "Little Engineer"
The Flag was also from the SIL store.
And the stamps are from K Andrew Designs
His face is from Peachy Keen Stamps
I left a little space for my nephew to "write on" Since he's only 20 months old I know it will be scribbles but it will be nice for him to personalize it for my dad :)

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

My project is:

For every holiday I have been making something that I can take to work with me.. I
am a caretaker for an elderly couple and the gentleman has a very advanced stage of dementia
and he just loves seeing new things that he can talk about on the table when he eats.
I have become very fond of them both and it makes me happy to know that they enjoy the little
things that I do to brighten their day.
So this hat now sits on top of the snowman goblet that I made them for Christmas so hes now their snowy
Leprechaun.

Simply Create Too Challenge #30 Valentines

Hello All!! Its midway through the challenge over at Simply Create Too. This week's challenge is Valentines!
I know you are all creating great projects for Valentines day; after all .. All crafters LOVE holidays! :)

So for my project I created a cute "lollipop" centerpiece that I made for my counter at work.
I love it so much and everyone else seems to really enjoy it :)

I just used scrap pieces from other cut to make the candy tops.. And Popsicle sticks to make them stand up.. I got the votive holder at the Dollar Store and it is so sparkly and pretty I couldnt resist. I filled the holder up with marbles so it would help hold up the sticks.

Valentine Treat Box Blog Hop

Valentine's Day is just two weeks away and we wanted to see what kinds of mailboxes, boxes, and bags you make to give those special people in your lives. Join us for some amazing Valentine's inspiration in plenty of time for that special day and those special treats.

This hop has two hostesses today: Jearise from Lorby's World (http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com) and Tee (http://tee-myspot.blogspot.com/). Make sure you visit their blogs because they have some special treats of their own to give away. They'll tell you more on their blogs.

Now on with the inspiration...

I have 2 projects to show you today. So here goes :)

For this project I wanted to make a reusable treat container that would be good for my Nephew who is 1 and my Niece who is 2. So i found these cute plastic containers at Michaels and I knew they would be perfect for them because they are the perfect size for their little hands and they aren't really breakable.
I cut their first letters of their first names out on my Cameo with vinyl and placed it one each container. Then I used a scrap heart from all of the Valentine's day cards I have been making and made them into tags and I hand wrote little messages on each of them for them :) And I think I will be switching out their candy to something other than hard candy but its all I had to put in it at this point so I could show you :)  (I Know they arent boxes but I couldn't resist them for my two little sweeties)

For this one I cut it with my Cameo from a cut file from Creative Kuts. I absolutely love this file! Its fun and so easy to put together. Its a cute lollipop holder :)
I cut it with some of my white feather paper and then I used some ribbons from my stash and I just had to add the feathers to it to make it fun!

Thanks for stopping by and please continue on to Sandra. I'm sure she has something wonderful to show you!!

Final Line Up Will Be Posted on January 31st. Tee is asking that you include your DEEP URL if you know how. Thanks.  (You don't have to include the whole thing if you don't want.)

Silhouettes

Hello all! Happy almost over Monday! I had time to craft today and I really dug into it got 3 projects done and I still have energy for some more! But I wanted to post and show you one of the projects that I am working on because I wanted to make something for my Brother and SIL to help decorate their house.

My niece and nephew are my favorite people in the whole world and I cant help but make things that are about and for them :) These were just cut out of black cardstock and I used MOD PODGE to keep them on the canvas. They aren't as perfect as I would have liked but they turned out pretty good . Will try again making some for my Mom since she liked them so much :)

Frosty

Hi everyone! Its so cold here! The temps yesterday and today have been around 8 degrees and I absolutely hate it! But one good thing is that the cold has inspired me to create a card. I love the snow but the bitter cold is not good for anyone or anything...except maybe us in the crafty world who stay warm and cozy and craft away :)

So for my card I used my Cameo to cut the card and all of its shapes.

Sorry for the glare but I couldn't seem to get the lighting right because of the metallic paper and the glitter on the snowflake...
But this card was cut using a file from the Silhouette store. Its a tri fold that comes with a band to keep it closed. I wanted to keep it simple but keeping with the snowflakes on the paper I added a glittery snowflake to the band.
I used K Andrew Stamps for the Sentiment and I used Staz-On ink since the paper is kinda glossy.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Stay warm and Until Next time! <3

Anything Goes over at Simply Create Too!

Its challenge time again over at Simply Create Too! And The DT Members all have something different and awesome to show you! Stop on over and check out what they have created and link up your own project to show too! :)

For my project I used my cricut and my gypsy to cut and weld a shaped card. I wanted to go for something a little out of the ordinary so here goes:

I i just used basic card stock for the base and the top sentiment piece is just a piece of scrap paper that I had in my bin.
I added some homemade skittles to the card and then I stamped it with my K Andrew Design stamps.

<3 Until Next time! Enjoy and Happy Crafting!

White as Snow Blog Hop

Welcome to the White as Snow Blog Hop where the idea was to either create something that has white as a primary color or as the background. I'm sure some of these crafty bloggers got creative and combined both but you will only be able to find out by hopping along with us today...

Our hostess for this hop is Jearise from Lorby's World (link to - http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com) and it's a good thing to start at her blog because she has a special give away of her own and all the details are on her blog.

We also have a guest blogger, Anita from Anita and Bugs, who also has an awesome give away on her blog.

Our wonderful sponsor for today's blog hop is THE CUTTING CAFE (link to - http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/) so please make sure you visit their online store to see all the wonderful cutting and printable files they have.

The Cutting Cafe is giving away to one lucky winner 3 files of their choice. To qualify, you need to visit The Cutting Cafe store (link to - http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/) and then "like" The Cutting Cafe on FACEBOOK (link to - https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Cutting-Cafe/162767407068793?ref=ts&fref=ts) and let Regina, the owner, know that you came from the White as Snow Blog. I can tell you now that if you like printable sayings and cutting files, you will love her designs and she has specials going on all the time on her FACEBOOK page.

Now on to the hop...

For this I wanted to go a little simple. I used a plain white background its a square card...
Then I placed the snowflake brads on (removed the brad posts)
Then I added some Liquid Pearl in 2 colors (blue and teal)
The Sentiment Came from K Andrew Designs

Thank you so much for joining us today and your next stop is (insert person under you on line up).

Let It Snow

Hello all! Its time again for Challenges at Simply Create Too! For Challenge 28 the theme is Let it snow!

So for my project I wanted to show you what I made a TON of this season :)

Sorry about the mess in the background. I did some tweaking to these after I took the pictures. I have actually put a yarn scarf around the stem instead of the foil ribbon. I had so much fun making these and they can stay out until winter is over :)
