I have been hearing TONS of Christmas music everywhere and I love the song Let it Snow! So with that being said I have not done a paper craft this time I have done a decoration in preparation for my Christmas Decorating :) And Yes this project I was also inspired by Pinterest (I cant stay away from it!) So when I think of snow... I Know I think of snowmen!!! :)
Here is what I came up with
These are wine glasses from the Dollar Tree. Painted with White Glass paint then the red and green paints are just plain acrylic paints mixed with a little glass paint to give it a little depth. Then I hand painted the faces ( I know they aren't the greatest but these are my first two and it was a little difficult being that the surfaces arent flat) Then they just hold a small pillar candle and there we have it! Cheap and fun and cute!
Now that you have seen my project make sure jingle on over to Tahi to see what awesome project she has made for you!
Here's the line up so you don't get lost:

so in love with these! You did a fantastic job. I too love snowmen and plan on lifting your project =)
ReplyDeleteWow what a really cute idea! They turned out fantastic!
ReplyDeletei love how you thought outside the box with this one...winegoblets for candleholders! Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI love them! You need to put them on Pinterest. I saw some done as pumpkins for Halloween but wondered what to do for holidays. You answered my question. I had a dozen or so wine glasses I was going to donate to Goodwill but grabbed them just before sending them off to make the pumpkins which I never did. I can move on to these adorable snowpeople and I think you did a great job for your first time. Hug, Jearise
